| In June, the District's Continuity of Learning plan provided students and families with a voluntary option to return to classes for two days a week beginning June 1st. Our goal was to provide a safe learning environment for students and staff while modeling kindness, empathy, dignity, and respect. We sought to help students learn to be safe through a unique moment in time, yet continue to have strong connections and relationships to the adults and other students at our school.
Many teachers and students had fun with the idea of physical distancing. Some classrooms had little "offices" or "islands" set-up for students to help them safely transition back to school.
