| As we enter an unprecedented and uncertain year, our staff recognized the importance of being adaptive for our students. We recognized the importance of bringing focus to our six school goals, so we conducted a review. Our six goals included work on numeracy, social emotional learning, innovative learning environments, inquiry, communicating student learning, and embedding Indigenous perspectives.
In an effort to bring alignment and coherence to our work, we identified social emotional learning, innovative learning environment, and communicating student learning as our areas of focus. We have pledged to guide our work through a process of inquiry. Underpinning these efforts are the compentencies of the Okanagan Peoples' Four Food Chiefs as well as the foundational skills of reading, writing, and numeracy.
