| In order to reduce the spread of COVID-19, schools all over British Columbia made a sudden shift to at-home learning. Teachers were faced with the daunting task of supporting students' social, emotional, and academic needs without being in the same room as their class. Educators made the rapid shift to new technologies such as Zoom. Technology not only helped teachers minimize the disruption to student learning, but also helped maintain important social connections between students.
